Tamara Greear and Richard Keller have been named partners at Rodefer Moss, effective January 1. Greear works in the Norton, Virginia office where she was previously a principal. As partner, she will focus on leading audits for the Norton office and region. She will also serve as manager of the Norton office. Keller works in the Greeneville, Tennessee office where he was previously a senior tax manager.
Greear has 30 years of experience in private and public accounting. She began her career in private accounting with small retail chain stores before owning her own small tax practice. In 2004, she joined Thrower, Blanton & Associates (TBA) where she became a partner in 2013. After spending the first 15 years of her career in tax, Greear switched to governmental accounting and auditing. She specializes in governmental and not-for-profit organizations, corporate accounting, audit, financial reporting, and business and individual taxation.

Greear is a licensed CPA in Virginia. She is a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants (AICPA), the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA) and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA) and serves as vice chair on the VSCPA Accounting and Auditing Advisory Committee. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Old Dominion University and a Master of Science in Accounting at Liberty University. A mother, grandmother, and lifelong arts enthusiast, she remains active in the local dance community, helping area dance studios with financial issues and occasionally teaching ballet classes.

Keller is a Greene County native with more than 20 years of experience in public accounting. He provides compliance and tax planning services for small businesses, estates, trusts, and individuals. His clients represent various industries including manufacturing, retail, construction, transportation, and health professionals. He has authored several tax related articles published in Tax Notes Federal, a weekly journal featuring news, commentary, and analysis for tax professionals whose success depends on being trusted for their expertise.

Keller earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from East Tennessee State University. He is a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA). He resides in Mohawk with his wife, sons, and daughter. The Keller family attends Fairview Baptist Church of Mohawk.
