Don’t wait for an attack to heighten cybersecurity

Coming out of the pandemic, change has accelerated at a rapid pace across all fronts. We need to not lose sight on the critical blocking and tackling on our IT infrastructure that may not look the same as it did two years ago. Now is a great time to reevaluate your internal systems and processes and remind employees to always be mindful of the chance for a cyberattack.

  • Use multi-factor authentication on all accounts.
  • Update software on computers, mobile phones, and tablets with automatic updates.
  • Be careful when clicking on links.
  • Use strong passwords.

CISA also recommends specific steps organizations can take including reducing the likelihood of cyber intrusion, detecting an intrusion, ensuring preparedness if an intrusion occurs, and maximizing resilience to a cyber incident.

Now, more than ever, it’s important to take these steps to ensure that you and your organization are protected.
